What’s On Your Plate? Film Screening & Discussion in Cary
The Town of Cary and AHA present What’s On Your Plate?, a witty documentary about kids and food on April 24, 6:30 pm at The Cary Downtown Theater part of the Fit Cary Month celebration.
The screening is free, although tickets are required as space is limited. View the trailer and reserve your tickets here. Doors open at 6:30 pm for viewers to visit a variety of educational booths about health and fitness, and have an opportunity to enter a prize drawing, with the film starting at 7:00.
All attendees will receive a $5 Market Bucks coupon that can be used at any of the three farmers’ markets in Cary.
The screening will feature a panel of local health and farming/gardening experts for Q&A following the 76-minute film.
About the Film
What’s On Your Plate? is a fun, educational and accessible movie about how kids feel about food, how kids think about food and their health, and how families can change the way their food is accessed, prepared and eaten. Over the course of a year, the film follows two 11-year-old girls as they explore food, talk to farmers, visit school lunchrooms, investigate where the food they eat comes from and more. The film is recommended for children ages 7 and up.
