The mission of Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is to serve, educate and enhance life for the citizens of Cary.  Our professional staff plans and provides a variety of enjoyable and cost effective recreation, sports, environmental, historical and cultural arts programs and services.  We acquire, develop, beautify, conserve and maintain a system of parks, greenways and recreation facilities, which will assure quality leisure opportunities for all Cary residents.  The Town of Cary offers many opportunities for children and adults to assist in living a healthy lifestyle.

Designated as a Fit Community in 2007, the Town of Cary provides a variety of health and fitness opportunities that promote physical activity for youth.  Programs such as Stretch-n-Grow, cheerleading, martial arts, sports leagues, dance, tennis and more.  The Town of Cary maintains over 35 miles of greenways, 22 parks, and 13 staffed facilities.  For more information about programs provided by the Town of Cary, call (919) 469-4061 for a complete listing.
