Free Workshop: Smart Solutions for Schools

Research shows that active, healthy students have higher achievement scores! Join AHA for our free workshop on Sept. 27 at 9:30 am or 5:00 pm: Smart Solutions for SchoolsREGISTER HERE.

  • Hear from Brenda, Elliott, WCPSS Asst. Supt., Student Services Support, about the School Health Advisory Council and highlights of the new WCPSS Wellness Policy
  • Learn what USDA Smart Snacks criteria are (now part of the Wellness Policy!) and new options to help your school serve snacks that are in compliance
  • Learn how to start or grow walk/bike to/at school efforts, and what resources are available to help plan for International Walk to School Day on Oct. 4
  • Learn how your school can win on wellness and earn recognition through AHA’s Healthy School Awards.

The workshop is offered at 9:30-10:30 and repeats at 5:00-6:00 pm. School administrators, teachers and parents are invited. Download this flier.
