AHA fosters and supports community efforts to make healthy eating and physical activity the way of life in Wake County.

AHA Matters: Sam Trogdon

AHA matters“AHA exposes people to healthier living that they didn’t think was possible before AHA, such as more walkable communities and access to healthier food in camps and recreation programs.

AHA has assisted the Town of Cary with healthy eating efforts such as Fit Concessionaire, and the Camp Snack and Sports Snack Game Plan. The town has a desire to promote healthy eating, for example, but sometimes lacks the expertise and resources. AHA has provided that needed support.”

AHA launched a new series, AHA Matters, in January 2016. We are sharing personal thoughts from our Board of Directors members about AHA’s key role in the health of our communities across Wake County.
