AHA fosters and supports community efforts to make healthy eating and physical activity the way of life in Wake County.

AHA Matters–Bob Mosher

AHA matters“Having worked across North Carolina as a transportation planner for the NC Dept. of Transportation, I understand how communities struggle to provide citizens with the basic elements of a healthy environment to live, work, and raise a family. These cities, towns and counties are trying to provide facilities to walk, bike and play, restaurants where healthy food is available, and safe access to schools, libraries and places of worship.

AHA helps Wake County towns understand what a healthy community is and provide information the practical steps these communities can take to provide this for residents and visitors.”

–Bob Mosher, retired, NCDOT; AHA Board of Directors

NOTE:  AHA introduced the AHA Matters series in January 2016. AHA Board of Directors members are sharing personal thoughts on AHA’s role in developing healthier communities in Wake County.
