YES! Mini-grant Funding for Healthy Corner Stores

Youth Empowered Solutions (YES!) has mini-grant funds available for local youth-adult teams to work on Healthy Corner Stores. YES! is seeking local groups that are interested in identifying local small retail food outlets, conduct store surveys, customer interest surveys, build relationships with store owners and work to make changes that provide access to local, healthy and affordable NC foods.

Grants range from $500 – $1500 per applicant.

The requirements are:

  • Must focus on Healthy Corner Stores
  • Must be in North Carolina
  • Applicants must be comprised of youth & adult teams
  • All applicants must watch the 1 hour YES! training webinar
  • Complete an application, action plan and budget template
  • All items are due by 9/18/15
