Roll or Stroll to Apex Farmers Market: Opens April 18

roll-and-strol-300x168Although farmers’ markets have been a fixture in Apex for more than a century, in 2014, the Apex Farmers Market and Local Food Alliance was formed.

Created by a small group of like-minded individuals who care for the Apex community, co-managers Val Stone and Lynn Andreas are rebranding the market and opening for the new season this Sat.,April 18 from 8:30 am-12:30 pm at 220 N. Salem St. in downtown Apex.

AHA has partnered with the market to promote active transportation to the market through Roll or Stroll. Download this flier with a map showing the main walking routes to the market and the many nearby communities that can access the market.

Every time you bike, walk, jog or even rollerblade over to the Apex Farmers Market, stop by the Welcome Tent to enter a drawing for $10 in Market Bucks (a gift certificate to be spent with market vendors). Drawings will be held monthly all season. The entry coupon is at the bottom of the flyer.
