Raleigh Food Corridor Makes National News & An Update
AHA Board Member Erin White of Community Food Lab and the Raleigh Food Corridor concept are featured in a February article in Planning, a magazine of the American Planning Association a February: “Growing the Raleigh Food Corridor.”
It is exciting to see this national coverage of our partner, as well as the Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation, the Urban Design Center and AHA Director Sara Merz! News & Observer reporter Sarah Barr wrote the article and submitted it to the APA.
Raleigh Food Corridor Progress
The Second Saturday events, initiated last year to highlight the proposed Raleigh Food Corridor, begin again in April. The 2015 series is being planned now as a full summer series, building off ideas gathered last fall.
With support and collaboration from the Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation, Community Food Lab and Third Space Studio are launching a strategic planning process to define a backbone organizing structure for the Corridor, ways to measure success, what it means to be part of it, and how to move it to the next level.
