FED UP Screening in Raleigh June 25

Core Health Partners will host FED UP in the Triangle, a film screening and discussion at the Raleigh Grande Theater (4840 Grove Barton Rd. in Raleigh) on June 25, 7-9:30 pm. Tickets are $8.75/person at the Early Bird Discount til June 22, and then $10/person. View the trailer here and purchase tickets online.

The new documentary raises issues about the obesity epidemic, sugar, our food system, nutrition policy and more that is relevant to everyone in the community. Obesity and associated metabolic diseases like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes are ever-growing problems in the U.S. The toll on young people is particularly concerning.

Is dealing with this health crisis just a matter of eating fewer calories and exercising more?  Evidence suggests that there are other factors at play…

Parents, teachers, health care providers and others are invited to the screening and discuss opportunities to talk about these issues locally.
