Aug 12: Raleigh’s Sierra/Lineberry Dr. Park Master Plan Kickoff

The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department invites community members to the August 12 Southwest CAC meeting for the  Sierra/Lineberry Drive Park Master Plan kickoff. City Staff will be there to introduce the Project Team, the master planning process for this future park, and upcoming opportunities for citizen involvement.

The team will also present the results of the System Integration Plan, which provides an overview of the condition of the property (vegetation, lot size, and drainage), addresses safety, environmental and property issues, and site recommendations.  A community survey is available online until August 31. Survey results will inform the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resource’s master plan for park development at the intersection of Sierra Drive and Lineberry Drive and provide detailed recommendations for the site which is currently a vacant lot. The plan is expected to be complete by spring 2015. For more information, visit the project www.RaleighNC.gov/parkplan and search for Sierra Lineberry.
