AHA fosters and supports community efforts to make healthy eating and physical activity the way of life in Wake County.

Movin’ & Groovin’ Walking Program in Zebulon Through July 17

Wake County Human Services-Health Promotion Chronic Disease Prevention, 4-H Youth Development and Zebulon Parks & Recreation are hosting Movin’ & Groovin’ Walking Program every Wednesday Night through July 12, 6-7 pm at the Zebulon Community Park at 301 S. Arendell Ave. in Zebulon.

This free program includes a warm up and group exercise (different activities such as zumba, pilates and yoga each week) and a community walk, as well as youth activities. Music, door prizes and water are offered.

This series is planned to offered to encourage residents living in Eastern Wake County to increase their physical activity in a free, fun and safe way with mini activity sessions and a walk taking advantage of the resources available to residents in their community. The program has also been offered previoulsy in Raleigh.
