On the Trail to Health at the American Tobacco Trail

Wake County Parks Recreation and Open Space invites the entire family to a free event celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the American Tobacco Trail by promoting healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, and local foods!  “On the Trail to Health” will take place on Saturday, June 15, 1 to 4 p.m., at the White Oak Parking Area, 1305 White Oak American Tobacco TRailChurch Road, Apex. Bring your bike and decorate it for the Bike Parade at 3 pm!

County Park staff and exhibitors will lead participants in a number of activities including:

  • Scavenger Hunt for kids
  • Bike Decorating  and Parade
  • Hula Hooping
  • Golf
  • Yoga
  • Fun Games and Crafts!

Local organizations and businesses will be on-hand to offer additional activities and information.  Come out and see what the N.C. Horse Council, i9 Sports, Western Wake Farmers’ Market, Karen Tiede Hooping, One Heart Yoga, TGA of Western Wake County, 2Cups GreenTea Hawaii, GetGoingNC, and have to share. Local Yogurt Food Truck will be on site with delicious frozen yogurt for sale!
