$500 Grants for NC Teachers: Ag in the Classroom

NC Farm Bureau ocalGrantThe N.C. Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom program has launched a new grant program for schools: Going Local. One of the focus areas is school gardens and outdoor learning environments.

Grants are available up to $500 and will help teachers provide their K-12 students with valuable, real-world education and experiences about food and the agricultural industry while adhering to the Common Core and Essential Standards. Grant applications are due April 15.

Curriculum

Regardless of the grant opportunity, teachers may download a wide variety of Ag in the Classroom curriculum for pre-K-9th grade and biology at the Farm Bureau’s web site.
