$500 Grants for NC Teachers: Ag in the Classroom
The N.C. Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom program has launched a new grant program for schools: Going Local. One of the focus areas is school gardens and outdoor learning environments.
Grants are available up to $500 and will help teachers provide their K-12 students with valuable, real-world education and experiences about food and the agricultural industry while adhering to the Common Core and Essential Standards. Questions: contact Michelle Reedy, Ag in the Classroom Director, at (919) 719-7282.
Grant applications are due April 15.
Regardless of the grant opportunity, teachers may download a wide variety of Ag in the Classroom curriculum for pre-K-9th grade and biology at the Farm Bureau’s web site.
