Raleigh Pedestrian Plan: Public Comments Sought

The City of Raleigh is accepting public comments on a draft comprehensive pedestrian plan.

The draft plan provides strategies for enhancing Raleigh’s transportation system by promoting walkability throughout the city. It assesses existing facilities, policies, plans and programs that affect pedestrian mobility; and provides recommendations for improvements. The plan also includes templates for pedestrian infrastructure improvements, examples of tools and techniques for improving walkability, and a prioritized list of more than 200 proposed sidewalk projects throughout Raleigh.

Comments can be sent one of three ways by Nob. 16:

  • By email to pedestrian.plan@raleighnc.gov
  • By fax to 919-516-2681; or
  • By U.S. mail to: City of Raleigh Office of Transportation Planning, P.O. Box 590, Raleigh, N.C. 27602-0590.
