Free STEM Resources for Teachers and a $10K Prize!

Discovery Education has teamed up with Sanford Health and WebMD to launch fit 4 the classroom, a new program for elementary educators that encourages a healthy, balanced lifestyle among students.

Driven by the four pillars of fit (mood, move, food and recharge)  fit 4 the classroom helps to expand health and wellness education by connecting balanced eating and activity with sleep and a healthy emotional life for a more holistic approach to wellness.

fit 4 the classroom provides:

  • Dynamic, up-to-date cross curricular STEM lesson plans
  • Videos aligned to national education standards
  • Chance to win $10,000 in a national sweepstakes

One grand prize winner will be awarded a $10,000 prize: $5,000 for his/her school to fund health and wellness education programs, $5,000 for the winning teacher for related classroom materials, and a school assembly! Homeschool teachers can use the school funding toward a local non-profit organization.
