Parks and Recreation Facilities Bond for Knightdale

On Election Day in November, Knightdale voters will have an opportunity to vote on a $3,000,000 Parks and Recreation Facilities Bond to complete Phase II of the new town park.

Among the benefits is a permanent location for the Knightdale Farmers’ Market and beautiful spaces for residents to be physically active. Phase II will include:

  • development of a plaza on the northwest corner of the park property including wide walkways and shelters for community events such as the farmer’s market, arts & craft festivals, culinary competitions and holiday events, and outdoor music and drama performances
  • acquisition of adjacent property for future development of tennis courts
  • addition of greenway trails connecting the rest of the park property
  • and more.

Residents are invited to two Community Forums to an learn more about the bond referendum:  Wed., Oct. 10 at 7 pm and Mon., Oct. 22 at 7 pm at the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce.
