Snack Packs Now Available for CASL Teams at WRAL!

AHA is pleased to team up with the Capital Area Sports League (CASL) again this season to promote the AHA Sports Snack Game Plan, which encourages young athletes to refuel during/after games with tasty and healthy and water, and to work with AHA partners to offer a convenient way to do this!
If your child plays soccer with CASL, please share this with your coach and team, or pass this along to colleagues, friends and family in the area whose children play CASL soccer.

Healthy Snack Twitter Contest & Team Prize

To recognize teams with a perfect score of healthy snacking this season, teams are invited to Tweet about their healthy snack to be entered into a drawing for a fun team prize at the end of the season. It’s easy:
Just snap a picture of your team’s healthy snack and Tweet it to @CASLNC with the hashtag #AHASSGP each week.
Teams with a “perfect score” of healthy snacking all season long will be entered into a drawing for a fun team prize!

Snack Pack from The Produce Box and Inter-Faith Food Shuttle

AHA’s partners, The Produce Box and the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, are teaming up to offer Snack Packs for CASL teams playing at the CASL WRAL Soccer Center on Saturdays! Convenient online ordering & payment starts today and will be open every Monday and Tuesday til 12 pm through the season for Saturday games at the WRAL fields.

Snack Packs feature tasty and healthy fruits, including some locally grown seasonal fruits (from within a 150-mile radius) from The Produce Box’s network of local and regional farmers. Then staff at the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle wash, cut and prepare kid-size portions for the Snack Packs.
Join us in celebrating this convenient and healthy way to refuel our young athletes!
