Be Active Schools Grants Available

Be Active North Carolina is proud to announce the Be Active Schools awards (mini grant) program.  This program is aimed at supporting schools that are ready to make a commitment to creating opportunities for physical activity for students, staff, and the school community.  Through this program, North Carolina schools will be identified to receive a suite of tools that will increase their ability to be physically active.  Selected schools will have or will create the infrastructure to support this program.

All North Carolina public (inclusive of charter) schools may apply for the Be Active School awards.  Award funding will be in the amount of $500-$5000 depending on the projects budgeted ideas.  For the purposes of sustainability and long- term impact, proposals that strongly emphasize policy and physical projects will be favored.  Evidence of a strong internal collaboration and integration of supporting programs and promotion strategies are required.
